God Would Provide

For the majority of my life I prayed to God for quality friends. I wanted people in my life who truly enjoyed being around me and people that genuinely cared. Throughout the years, I've met some good people that I still keep in touch with today, but I've also had my fair share of not-so-good relationships. Growing up, friends came and went. It was really difficult to have to go through at that age and unfortunately it had a negative impact on my self-esteem. But I knew and trusted that God would provide.

I was working in fast food, wanting to get a new job, and I saw that a clothing resell store, where I frequently shopped at, was hiring. So, I applied and later got a call for an interview. At the same time, I received a job offer to be a case aid, which was the direction I wanted to go career wise at the time. It paid better and would've looked really good on my resume. Though, something was telling me that if this clothing store offered to employee me at their location, I should take it. Shortly after my second interview with the them, they called and offered me a job. Following that sense of peace I was experiencing, I accepted the position. That feeling, without a shadow of a doubt, was the Holy Spirit guiding me. Little did I know that this was the place God had planned for me to meet some of my best friends.

This was a picture I took after we had just dropped off one of our friends at college. We spent a total of eight hours in a car together jamming out to music, talking about the oddest topics, and reflecting back on great memories. On top of being with good company, we drove through some really killer landscapes. The scenery was beyond breathtaking. We pulled over several times throughout the day to take pictures. Sadly, there were a couple of people, who are just as important to me as those photographed, that weren't able to make the trip. Even though our crew is missing some of it's members in this image, I still love looking at it because it makes me extremely happy and reminds me of how lucky I am to have them all in my life.
